Selvi. Pooja Shankar, is a M.F.A.Bharathanatyam Graduate chairing the Institute "Shivamathy Kalalaya '' established in the year 2017, inculcating professional training in Bharathanatyam and various traditional art forms. With training more than 300 students and staging them at various Temples, Competitions, Chalanga pooja and Arangetrams, and being as judge and chief guest for various programmes, she has been growing along with this art form for the past 15 years and has been titled with awards, few namely

Natya Visharadha, Natya Kala Ratna, Sangeetha Natyakala Seva Acharya, Acharya Nrithya Kalashree, Kalai Thirumagal, Natya Kalai Selvi, Kalaiarasi, Oyilarasi, Women Achiever of 2023.

She also holds the privilege of being a World Records Co-organizer and Adjudicator
