Founded in 2022 by *Mrs. Shakila Murali, M.Sc., M.Phil., B.Ed., **Viva Academy* has achieved remarkable growth over the past four years. Today, with *three branches*, it stands as one of the leading institutions for arts and education in Chennai and its surrounding areas.
Viva Academy currently trains *more than 200 students* in various arts and skill-development programs. Courses such as *Bharatanatyam, Carnatic Music, Yoga, Western Dance, Abacus, Hindi, Spoken English, Drawing & Painting, Keyboard, Guitar, and Drums* are taught in a professional and systematic manner by experienced teachers.
Bharatanatyam is one of the academy’s major departments, with around *70 students* undergoing training. Through structured lessons in *adavus, abhinaya, rhythm, Natya Shastra, and stage performance*, students develop artistic excellence, discipline, confidence, and cultural awareness.
Students of Viva Academy have performed on several prestigious platforms in Chennai and nearby regions, including renowned temples, important pilgrimage centres across Tamil Nadu, Maha Shivaratri celebrations, Navaratri festivals, Pongal celebrations, spiritual and cultural events, art exhibitions, and various social and public welfare programs. They have received appreciation for their outstanding performances. The students have also showcased their talent in a *Pongal special program on Raj TV*.
