Parvathy Navaneeth (popularly known as Remya Navaneeth in music circles) is a highly respected violinist and music educator with over 22 years of dedicated teaching experience. She has trained girls, children, and adults ranging from 6 to 73 years of age, through both offline and online modes, enabling many learners to fulfill their lifelong dream of learning violin.
A significant number of her students actively perform as part of musical ensembles, while several have successfully launched professional careers as violinists, reflecting the depth and quality of her mentorship.
Parvathy Navaneeth comes from a distinguished cultural lineage. Her grandmother is the niece of the legendary Carnatic vocalist Chembai Vaidyanatha Bhagavathar, and her grandfather was an esteemed literary figure honoured by the Kerala Sahitya Akademi, Government of Kerala, for his contributions to literature.
Academically accomplished, she holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music (Violin) and has extensive experience in training students for certification examinations conducted Tamil Isai Mandram (Canada), University of Madras, and Annamalai University and has served as a part-time violin teacher in several leading music schools.
As a performer, Parvathy Navaneeth has presented violin concerts at numerous temple Navarathri and Mandalakala festivals in Chennai, earning appreciation for her classical sensitivity and accompaniment skills.
Recently, she performed at the Thalapakkam Concert (TTDC affiliated), accompanying Dr. Smt. Mennalochani, a 16th-generation musician from the Annamacharya tradition. She also performed at the Thyagaraja Brahmam Memorial Hall, Villupuram, on 6th June 2025.
In addition to solo performances, she has accompanied violin for various renowned musicians, contributing significantly to classical music concerts and cultural events.
With her blend of heritage, scholarship, teaching excellence, and performance experience, Parvathy Navaneeth continues to play a vital role in nurturing and preserving the rich tradition of Carnatic violin music.
