Art has no barriers of age, caste or gender. Art is such it attracts all. Yet only a selected few shine with their talent and sheer hard work.
11 year old Master Arnav Raj, son of Smt. Pooja Raj & Shri. Prashanth Raj, is a Grade 5 student at Skalvi International School, Bengaluru.
Under the guidance of Guru Dr. Sanjay Shantaram, Founder of Shivapriya School of Dance, Internationally acclaimed Dancer, Nattuvanar, Singer, Composer and Artist. Arnav, has been in this field of Bharatanatyam for over 2 years now. He has also been trained in Kuchupudi, Kathak and different folk styles of dancing too. The pandemic may have put an end to many things but here is an example, that has also lead people to connect to the true motto of their life. Blooming under the blessings of his Guru, he has been a vibrant, energetic, consistent and a dazzling performer across various productions, broadways and cultural events with some of the most notable performances. His interest, quick grasping power and dedication in learning made him to dance in programs with his seniors with in a month of him joining the class. Not only has he performed in India, but this dynamic child has spread his wings internationally(Malaysia, Muscat, Cambodia etc) as well with his Guru. He has also completed his Gejje puje, Arangetram & Guruvandane events in such a short span.
Each and every performance of Master Arnav has left every one in the audience spell bound every single time, such is the magic created on stage by this little boy. At a very young age he has captured the hearts of every one so much so that he is being approached for many upcoming shows/ Utsavas etc by some of the top noted dignitaries in this field.
Master Arnav is also an under 12 Football player and is doing extremely well balancing between his academics and his passions. Dance to this little boy is now his whole and soul. From fulfilling his mother’s dream to being the youngest in class to pull off some of the toughest choreographies, He is a dancer who has always vowed his audience and kept them at the edge of their seats. He is the representation of a true Shishya showing complete trust and faith in his Guru who is his greatest inspiration. From day one, his Guru has been his ultimate idol and his true dedication, love and respect for his Guru Dr. Sanjay Shantaram has made him what he is today.
