"Guru Samarpanam" – A Tribute by Raaba Media and Raaba Book of World Records

The Guru Samarpanam program, jointly organized by Raaba Media and the Raaba Book of World Records, is an initiative where students express their gratitude to teachers who impart knowledge and uplift their lives. They do this by dedicating their talents to those teachers. This event is officially registered as a world record event by the Raaba Book of World Records. Every year, the Guru Samarpanam program celebrates the greatness of the teaching profession.

Raaba Media, for the past eight consecutive years, has been offering numerous opportunities for students and artists to showcase their talents, gain global recognition, and successfully pursue their artistic journeys and goals.

About Guru Samarpanam - 1 & 2

The first Guru Samarpanam event ( 03 -- 09 - 2023 ) was held at Marina Pattinapakkam Beach, Chennai, where 1,200 students participated in person and over 1,000 joined online, making a total of 2,200 students. They created a world record by dedicating their art to teachers. The event was coordinated by Guru Pooja Shankar of Sivamathi Kalalaya and Guru Thilagavathi of Parvathi Natyalaya. Several media outlets covered the event, making it widely known to the public. This marked the first-ever such event to be held at Marina Pattinapakkam Beach in history.

During the Guru Samarpanam event, over 100 teachers were honoured with Raaba Media’s prestigious Dr. Radhakrishnan Memorial Teacher Award in recognition of Teacher's Day. It's noteworthy that every teacher who received this honor is highly respected and distinguished within society.

The second Guru Samarpanam event ( 01 - 09 - 2024 ) was held across 13 locations, including Chennai, Karnataka, Malaysia, and Tirunelveli. More than 700 students participated in person, and over 1,500 participated online, making it another successful Raaba Book of World Records event.

In Chennai's Ambattur, the event was conducted at Sethu Bhaskara Senior Secondary School by Guru Abinaya of Sri Abinaya Natyapalli, Guru Sudha Rajan of Kairali Natyalaya from Pammal, Chennai, Uma Venkateswari, founder of AARA Vishwas Academy in Kovilpatti, Tirunelveli, and Amirtha Gopalan, founder of Thamarai Natyalaya. Several media outlets covered the event, making it widely known to the public.

In Malaysia, Guru.Dato.Nisha Kokilah, founder of the Malaysian Natyanjali Association, organized the event in the Johor province. Other organizers included Vinay Dance Studio in Bangalore, Jayam Preschool in Vannarapettai, Chennai, and Rama Devi, founder of Xtra Genius Training School in Pattabiram, Chennai.

Once again, in the second event, over 100 teachers were honored with the Dr. Radhakrishnan Memorial Teacher Award by Raaba Media. Each awardee is uniquely respected in their community for their contributions.

How to Apply Teacher's Day Special Award

In the third annual "Guru Samarpanam" world record event by Raaba Media, teachers participating along with students will be honored with the "Dr. Radhakrishnan Memorial Award for Best Teachers" by Raaba Media.

Teachers who wish to receive this year’s Best Teacher Award can apply by sending the following details to Raaba Media’s email or WhatsApp number.

All you have to do to take part in this event is take a video that shows off your skills on your cell phone or camera and take a minimum of 3 minutes to a maximum of 10 minutes . please upload google drive and send google drive link to WhatsApp.
